The original power supply although quite reliable, it is becoming incredibly difficult to source with it's 3-pin propriety connector.
This also allows you to run your console without a step-down convertor if you are in a country that has 240v electricity.
Our new power supply was designed so it uses less power, runs much cooler and safer compared to mains voltage.
The new power supply is a simple DIY installation that takes approx 30 minutes.
You also need to purchase a 12v 2-3a DC adapter, center positive, 5.5x2.5mm barrel size which can be purchased on eBay or Amazon.

Features
* Fused Auto-Resetting Input ProtectionIf something shorts out within the Console / Power Brick / PicoPSU, the fuse will blow to stop more damage from happening.
* Reverse Polarity Protection
If you accidently use the wrong external power brick, it won't damage the PicoPSU or Console.
* High Grade Polymer Capacitors
We have spent a great deal of money by using high grade KEMET polymer capacitors to ensure the lowest output ripple, highest reliability and highest possible capacitor life.
* MAXIMUM POWER!
The NeoGeo CD Toploader PicoPSU V1 can provide (5V @ 3A, 10v @ 2A) meaning there's plenty of power for the system and plenty of mods.
Installation - Part 1, PSU Connector Removal
- Disassemble the console with the 4 screws at the bottom and the 2 black screws at the back.
- We will be focusing on the rectangular board at the back of the console referred to as the "CDDA" board.
- Remove the 6 screws from the CDDA Board which will release it from the main console chassis.
- Using a sharp blade or cutting tool, cut the plastic shown as below, this will seperate the 3 Pin PSU Connector from the rest of the connectors.
- Once the plastic has been cut, flip over the board and desolder the 3 Pin PSU Connector.
- This is what it should roughly look like with the Original 3 Pin PSU Connector removed.
Installation - Part 2, QSB Installation
- Flip over the "CDDA" Board, align the QSB and solder the 3 points as shown below.
Installation - Part 3, New PSU Installation
- We will be first concentrating on mounting the PicoPSU to hole marked "A".
- Using the 2 x (M3 x 6MM) Nylon Screws & 1 x (M3 x 12MM) Female-Female Threaded Nylon Hex Spacer, Install as shown below.
- We will now be concentrating on mounting the PicoPSU to the holes marked "B".
- Align the CDDA board back to where it should normally sit.
- Place 2 x (M3 x 12mm) White PCB Spacers under the PicoPSU board.
- Using the 2 x (M3 x 25mm) Metal Screws, screw down the PicoPSU board.
- Using ONLY 4 of the 6 screws earlier, screw the CDDA board back down.
- Insert the other end of the 3 wire connecting cable into the connector on the PicoPSU.
- This is what the finished installation should look like.
- Test before re-assembling the console.
